2. Open-Ended Questions:
The questionnaire contained two open-ended questions,
at the end of part two and three respectively. The first
question aimed to find out the students' needs that were not
mentioned in the fourteen closed questions. The second
open-ended question, which was in part three, aimed to list
the students' suggestions about improving LQ4000. In
addition, the questionnaire was in three parts.
Part One: Demography and Language Background:
This part of the questionnaire contained ten closed
questions. The questions of this part disclosed the exposure
to the language, as well as the bio data of the subjects. This
part shows the name, programme, age, nationality, gender,
type of secondary school, exposure to the Arabic language
before university, years of studying Arabic in the pre-
university and university level, initial level of Arabic, and
finally the current academic year.
