The creation of Earth and the creativity of the Universe.
1. The Environment.
2. Human rights.
3. Ethical aspects of knowledge seeking.
At the beginning of the course, the students are subjected to
the rigours of efficient reading techniques which require
reading copious texts of various types to make meaningful
connections between sources of information. This is done in
order to discover essential subject matter to complement their
given academic purposes. Strict time limits and deadlines are
imposed in order to speed reading efficiency and sharpen
time management skills.
Towards the latter parts of the course, the focus shifts to
academic writing in which the students are tutored in the
skills of formulating working bibliographies, writing
proposals, writing a formal outline, citing sources, making
references, and so on. At the same time, oratory skills are not
ignored. Students are given the opportunity to develop formal
and academic oral skills.
