Diploma/Master Program in Teaching Arabic to non-Arabic Speakers:

     The implementation of this Program started in 1974, at the beginning of the Institute’s

work. It aims to prepare Specialists in Teaching Arabic to non-Arabic Speakers. It targets

Arab Language Graduates from Arab and African Universities who work in the field of

Teaching Arabic to non-Arabic Speakers.

          Program Study System: Semester System and Credit Hours.

          Program Study Duration: Two years (four semesters).

Higher Diploma and Master in Education Program:

     In 2004, the Institute started implementing a program for Postgraduate Studies in Education at the levels of Higher Diploma and Master’s Degree in response to the desire of the Ministry of Education to rehabilitate the General Education Teachers, and to fill the shortages experienced in the field of Education for Academic and Professionally trained Teachers. It aims to provide the teachers with what is new in the field of Education and raisetheir capabilities in the following specializations:

  1. Curricula & Teaching Methods.
  2. Arabic Language Teaching.
  3. Educational Evaluation & Measurement.
  4. Educational Guidance & Psychological Counseling.
  5. Educational Management & Planning.
  6. Adults Education.
  7. Kindergarten.
  8. Special Education.

Master’s Degree Admission Conditions:

  1. Obtaining a Bachelor’s Honors Degree with a Good Grade (Second Level) as a minimum.
  2. Obtaining a Bachelor’s Honors Degree with an Acceptable Grade (Third Level), provided that the learner studies a number of pre-requisites for the previous stage in a period not more than Two Semesters and not less than One Semester.
  3. Obtaining a General Bachelor’s Degree with a Good Grade (Second Level) as a minimum, in addition to a Qualifying Year during which the student passes the courses with a Good Grade as a minimum.
  4. Obtaining a General Bachelor’s Degree with an Acceptable Grade (Third Level) in addition to a High Diploma with a Good Grade as a minimum.
  5. In order to join the Master’s Program for Teaching Arabic to non-Arabic Speakers, the student must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in “Arabic Language Specialization”, or in “Education, of Arabic language”, or in “Linguistic Studies”. It is also permissible to accept students with a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of “Islamic Studies”.
  6. In order to join the Education Specialization (Teaching Arabic), the learner must have a Bachelor’s Degree in the Arabic Language Specialization.
  7. The learner must pass the Aptitude Exam organized by the Institute.
